Have a great weekend!
You as well
「あなたへの月」, aka “The Moon to You” by Cocco (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPIjBSxw3zw&ob=av2e).
Thanks Alex, it’s a pretty song although I didn’t understand it , but the melody is very nice and the voice of the singer is so amazing
There is a good translation of the lyrics here, if anyone is interested: http://www.kiwi-musume.com/lyrics/cocco/besturabest/anataenotsuki.htm
thaNks Alex, I read its translation, it’s very touching
Also, Tate Takako’s 「月」 (“Moon”) is very beautiful, but I can’t find it online. And let’s not forget the classics. Debussy’s “Clair de lune” and Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata,” even though he never called it that.
When I think Moon song, I think David Bowie. Space Oddity was actually played during the Moon landing on both the BBC and CBS.
“Moonage Daydream” from Ziggy Stardust certainly qualifies for this list. I deem it essential. You can choose from the milder studio version,
or the wilder live version from “Ziggy Stardust The Motion picture.” Both are available on youTube.
You inspired me to go ahead and do a post containing both versions mentioned above as well as the excellent live version from his 50th birthday bash in 1997. I also mentioned you and posted a link back to your blog. Merci beaucoup!
Don’t know why I didn’t think of this one. Ziggy Stardust is one of my favorite albums. Great choice.
Oh it would be nice if you’d post them on your blog and so we would add it on the list too. Join us Leiuf… thanks

I dedicate this comment to my mother who filled the air with this song when I was a child. When I hear this song, she is with me, now.
