Health And Fitness

Hey guys, I just like to update you with my health and fitness program.

Last month April 1, I found out the following:

  • Strength Assessment- Excellent… It means I can carry even one sack of rice by myself alone…   hmmm very nice :) hahaha
  • Flexibility: Poor….   well this one I believe there was a mistake from the machine… LOL
  • My Body Age according to the machine: 55…   another mistake LOL :)
  • Over all I am healthy but, but a big BUT… my Fat Mass is higher from my  ideal range (20.5%-base on my weight of 55kg. ) Mine is 38.5%…   Wow! so I need to burn those excess fat from my body to be more healthy and prevent any serious health risk that I might encounter in the future.

My GOAL:

Weight:  42-45kg (if I get rid off my excess Fat Mass, this should be my ideal weight)

Body toning and firming….   34-24-34…   Wow!

  • And as of today, May 18,  I weigh 51Kg.
    I lost 4 kilo.  Wow!
I also lost 4 inches in my waistline.
    Great isn’t it?

Health and Fitness continues, until next update :)

Shake, Rattle & Roll Fun Ride
Riders feel like they are flying as they whirl, twirl and spin on this twisting, rotating fun ride.  It was fun all right, but it’s not my favorite. It was my first and last, hahaha. Anyways just look at these split-second shots and enjoy the ride.

This was such a terrible ride.  I had mixed emotion with it.  I had fun and adventure but definitely I won’t do it again.

My son Blue Belted Deu and his Black Belted Japanese Opponent after the fight.IMG_1376

My son lost in the tournament but according to my good friend Mark Armstrong  as quoted,  “In a case like that, winning is not really important. Having the experience is what’s important, and I’m sure it will serve him well. Just qualifying and getting into the tournament is a great achievement– he can be very proud of that.”

And I am so proud of my son :)

Here is the video of the fight …  Enjoy!

#23 All Time Favorite Post- A Risk Worth Taking

Revisited…

I was so nervous, I thought, I’m not gonna make it alive!

Scuba Diving in depths of the ocean

I like to learn new skill and somehow I like to see the world under water so I thought scuba diving would be very interesting. I enrolled in the Open Sea Course even I am not a good swimmer. I’m only good at floating. Hahaha.

I was glad I did it! I was able to enjoy the world under the sea!

It’s worth taking!

Open Sea Dive, October 2008

Open sea dive, June 2008, during the course training

Well, I am looking forward to dive again in the future.  The last time I did it was last April of 2010 and I was already halfway down when I signaled my buddy that I wanted to come up already.  I just didn’t feel right to go for it.  I felt something it was not good that I have to trust my gut about it.  I nearly panicked, I got blocked out I did not even know which button I would push so that I could start my way up!  Thank God my buddy was quick enough to understand me, he pushed the button for me.  Good Lord I reached the shore safe. Hahahaha

But the next time I will dive, I make sure I know that I can really swim, I mean really know how to swim and not just float…  hahaha :)

Kyokushin Training with Chlly

Chlly

My daughter Chlly just sent me this video from her Taekwondo class. It took place last Sunday, July 1, 2012. She’s just a beginner.  I also took Taekwondo when I was her age but there were no You Tube back then, so I can not share them with you… hahaha.
Anyways I am just so proud and happy to share this video with you too :)

The Blind Girl

The Blind Girl

contrib by Sandi W.

There was a girl who hated herself because she was blind. She hated everyone,

except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She told her boyfriend,

‘If I could only see the world, I will marry you.’

One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages came off,

she was able to see everything, including her boyfriend… He asked her,

‘Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?’

The girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The sight of his closed

eyelids shocked her. She hadn’t expected that. The thought of looking at them the

rest of her life led her to refuse to marry him.

Her boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her saying:

‘Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine.’

I Run You Over The Mountain

Mountain

Would you rather climb a mountain

or run a marathon?

mmmmm  I like to do both.
Why not? I believe both are fun to do… How about you?

Horseback Riding

Climbing a mountain or running a marathon? Well neither of them I have… so I would not have any idea which of which I’d prefer..But I love actions and adventures and learn new skills and mountain climbing is one of the sports I would like to experience because my kids do it and they seem to have lots of fun from it. Also when I was a teenager I used to run with my mom and dad every morning but just around our village and it was fun, so I guess I would like to run a marathon too in the future. And If given a chance and opportunity I would love to do both. But right now I have my eyes on doing sport in Horseback Riding. :)
