  1. Good sound advice – some of it I have never heard before. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Yup– good stuff. I tend to err on the side of over-indulgence in water LOL! I get a bit water-logged, and deplete my electrolytes. I have to get a lot of mine in horsetail or oat straw or nettles tea: replenishes the good stuff I’m washing out. Great post. I know a lot of folks who are needing a shift from the other extreme. Good info 🙂

  3. I Totally Agree!! 🙂 my parents are both doctor and i’ve been competing in fighting sports (Boxing, muay thai and now mma) for almost 10 years now …so i really do know the importance of water in our heatlh.
Personally i drink @ least 4 liter of water each day….and the crazy thing is that i can not even stay 30 mins without drinking….mmm wondering if i have some sort of water addiction aahahha

  4. Good reminder! I am going to follow up on “fruit.” It is amazing that people do not understand the harm they do — by putting garbage down their throats…………………..my medicine: causes dry skin….any of your readers know things I can use. Powder does not help. I have tried lotions. Any help appreciated.

  23. This is very very useful! […let me write this down!] Thank you!

  24. I’m amazed that a glass before a bath helps lower blood pressure.

  25. Admirable posting. I’ll go drink a 32 oz mason jar now. Have you seen “What The Bleep Do We Know?”. If not, you might not perceive why I have a smiley face on my water bottle, the way I do. Finally bought a five dollar cork though. Darn lids kept rusting on the jar lips. What’s a trick to convince a dehydrated, lethargic, sun stroke victim, to drink enough to recover? Don’t give them the lid when you hand them the bottle. When your in the desert, far away from the smell of it….how do you find it?…………Follow the bees. Thank you for posting this. It’s very present in my mind. Your post taught me well.

  26. I friend of mine at work was always stating how she was tired after eating lunch. I told her to drink a glass of water after she finished her meal. It worked. On the weekends, I prefer water from those frosty, silver Colorado cans! 🙂

  27. I’m sure most people know this, but at higher altitudes, you have got to drink more! I’m not sure all the reasons why, but u won’t get altitude sickness as bad (if at all), you will reduce headaches, & avoid other discomforts. Just a tip. PS a reminder to drink more water, is an awesome post. That can really help people live healthier lives. mega-like!

  28. I like a little lemon in my morning cup of water 🙂

  29. I always knew it was good to be hydrated, but I had no idea that you should hydrate at specific times like that. Thanks for the heads up!

  30. A glass of water makes my night seem longer. I think of oceans and streams, and sailing away in my dreams, but it’s a good time to write, several times a night. Think I’ll just drink my liquids during the day, thank you.

  31. Excellent post…..we should all drink at least half our body weight in ounces/cc’s! Amazing….water’s benefits.
