I was recently visited by adollyciousirony who has an interesting music related blog. This month’s topic is about songs with “MOON” in the title. When I think Moon song, I think David Bowie. Space Oddity was actually played during the Moon Landing on both the BBC and CBS. “Moonage Daydream” from Ziggy Stardust certainly qualifies for this list. I deem it essential. Or, better yet, the live version from David’s 50th Birthday Bash at Madison Square Garden’s in New York. Earlier, I did a post on the 1996 Lorelie Festival, which I called “Bowie’s finest moment on stage”. I was referring to the entire 1995-1997, near non-stop tour with Reeves Gabrels and company. This band was soooo hot that David actually abandoned plans to release the other 2 parts to Outside…

  1. Bowie’s been my No. ! rock idol since i was under 10 yrs of age! I love Moonage Daydream, but let’s not forget another fantastic group/song here – Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon…
