Padlocks of love

According to Wikipedia:

Parapets screened the Pont des Arts is now support for multiple padlocks hung by couples: these are locks of love . These locks typically include entries in the marker (even inscriptions) mentioning the names or initials of two lovers, the date on which the lock was hooked, and possibly a short message.

This practice has appeared on the Pont des Arts in 2008 5 , and has since expanded to the Passerelle Leopold-Sedar-Senghor and the Pont of the Archdiocese . The origin of this practice is rather vague: it appeared in Eastern Europe in the 1980s and 1990s, then spread to Western Europe in the 2000s.
