“Of course I’ll hurt you. Of course you’ll hurt me.
Of course we will hurt each other.
But this is the very condition of existence.
To become spring, means accepting the risk of winter.
To become presence, means accepting the risk of absence.”

It is a duty to take this risk, to love and feel without defense or reserve.”
William S. Burroughs

  1. Reblogged this on Oyia Brown.

  2. Every time I visit dear Toothsome’s blog I take big risks: the risk of laughing with delight, of being filled with joy, of being overcome with happiness, of floating away on a sea of love, of drinking cold coffee, and of having my teeth flossed before I can even finish my donut!!

It’s all worth it, however. It helps that I’m a man of exceptional courage… : )

  3. Thanks for this! Much needed inspiration. Most times we can be our own greatest obstacles to trying something new

  4. All very wise words, but I don’t fancy being cut open! I think that if you have people who are dependent upon you, then you have to consider what type of risks you’re willing to take and how it will effect those whom you love.

  5. I wish it were so easy.

I'm delighted to hear from you :) Merci, beaucoup to all who clicked LIKE...
