July Music Passion Is Mainly Instrumental

Thank you so much

Moi of  cognitive reflection  for hosting our Music Passion-July Edition.

And he says,  “…  this prompt is “mainly instruments” or “mainly instrumental” so basically a tune that you love because of the music in it rather than having full on singing, it can have a few lyrics but these are more of a backing nature, or seem to come across as a backing nature.”

Music Passion on Jazz

Carlos Santana on Jazz by Leiulf 🙂 Enjoy!

About Sound and Vision

This week’s word on Music Passion is “Jazz”. When I think Jazz, I think of the Montreux Jazz Festival. Not only do they rope in the greatest talents year after year, but they also have released a series of excellent DVD’s devoted to the entire sets of these stellar musicians. I have several in my collection, including Lou Reed, Yes, Stevie Ray Vauhan and The Moody Blues. One That I Do Not yet own, but plan to aquire is Santana, Montreux Jazz Festival, 2011.
Carlos Augusto Alves Santana is a Mexican and American musician. He became famous in the late 1960s and early 1970s with his band, Santana, which pioneered rock, Latin music and jazz fusion. Like my other musical heroes, Carlos has continued to inspire as these excerpts from the 2011 Official Montreux DVD will attest. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
